Bible Reference General Chooses which Bible passage to insert. Required. Enter a reference like “Romans 8:1-4”.
Translation General Chooses which Bible translation is used. If left unselected, WEB (World English Bible) is used. World English Bible (WEB): Uses the World English Bible translation.
King James Version (KJV): Uses the King James Version translation.
Style General Selects the rendering style preset used for this block. Uses the Minimal (opinionated) preset by default. Native (Inherit Template Styles): Uses incoming Kit editor typography/colors when available.
Minimal: Opinionated serif-first preset for readable scripture blocks.
Modern: Clean sans-serif preset with contemporary spacing and contrast.
Codex: Warm editorial parchment style with classical typography.
Newsprint: Newspaper-inspired high-contrast style with print accents.
Receipt: Monospace receipt-inspired style with dotted separators.
Terminal: Green-on-dark terminal style for code-oriented newsletters.
Blueprint: Blueprint-inspired style with technical annotation aesthetics.
Neon: High-contrast neon card style with glowing accents.
None: Returns semantic verse markup without preset typography styles.
Show Verse Numbers Display Shows or hides small verse numbers before each verse. On by default.
Show Reference Line Display Shows or hides the passage reference line (for example “Romans 8:1-4”). On by default.
Reference Position Display Places the reference line above or below the passage text. Top by default. Top: Place passage reference above verse text.
Bottom: Place passage reference below verse text.
Verse Display Display Controls whether verses appear one per line or as a single paragraph. Separate (one verse per line) by default. Separate: Show each verse on its own line.
Together: Flow all verses together as one paragraph.
Spacing Display Controls vertical spacing and line-height of the passage block. Normal spacing by default. Compact: Tighter spacing for shorter blocks.
Normal: Balanced spacing for most newsletters.
Relaxed: More breathing room between lines.
Reference Font Typography Sets the font family and weight for the reference line. Uses preset defaults, or inherits from host styles when Style is Native.
Reference Color Typography Sets the text color for the reference line. Uses preset defaults, or inherits from host styles when Style is Native.
Body Font Typography Sets the font family and weight for verse text. Uses preset defaults, or inherits from host styles when Style is Native.
Body Color Typography Sets the text color for verse text. Uses preset defaults, or inherits from host styles when Style is Native.
Verse Number Font Typography Sets the font family and weight for verse numbers. Uses preset defaults, or inherits from host styles when Style is Native.
