Laws for grain offerings. Usually of “fine flour”, but may be uncooked or made into unleavened bread made in an oven, on a griddle, or in a pan. It must not include leaven or honey. It always includes oil, frankincense, and salt. It may include fresh ears of grain.

Why it mattersPermalink

The grain offering usually accompanied an animal offering. It was costly, requiring both fine flour and precious frankincense, but the priests were allowed to eat most of the food except a “memorial portion.”
