Isaiah announces comfort to Jerusalem: her warfare is ended and guilt pardoned. A voice calls for a highway through the wilderness because the Lord is coming and all humanity will see His glory. Human life fades like grass, but God’s word endures. Zion must proclaim that God arrives as mighty King and tender Shepherd. Unlike idols and earthly rulers, the Creator measures the world, names every star, never grows weary, and renews those who wait for Him.
