Isaiah foresees a day when God’s people will praise Him because He has turned away His anger and He has comforted them. Trusting God as their strength and salvation, they will no longer be afraid but will draw water joyfully from the wells of salvation. They will thank Him, call upon His name, proclaim His deeds among the nations, and sing because the Holy One of Israel dwells among them.

The restored remnant responds to God’s saving presence with fearless joy and worldwide praise. This song celebrates the second exodus promised in chapter 11, echoing Israel’s praise after deliverance from Egypt. God’s judgment has purified His people, His King has gathered them, and His presence has become their strength. Salvation does not remain private: the redeemed proclaim His works among the nations.
