If you’re having trouble with the VerseTools plugin, try these before contacting support.

“Passage not found”Permalink

Try this checklist:

  • Use a full reference like Romans 8:1-4.
  • Confirm chapter/verse numbers exist (if you’ve asked for material we don’t have, you should get a helpful error message).
  • Try a common book name (1 Corinthians) if an abbreviation fails.
  • Try switching translation between WEB and KJV if needed.

Passage Looks Different Than ExpectedPermalink

  • Turn on Show Verse Numbers if they are missing.
  • Turn on Show Reference Line if the reference is hidden.
  • Change Verse Display between Separate and Together.
  • Change Spacing to Compact/Normal/Relaxed.

Font/Color Not Matching Your EmailPermalink

  • Set Typography fields explicitly in the block.
  • If Typography is left blank, VerseTools tries to inherit from Kit email styles.
  • Some Kit/editor previews can cache style changes; close and reopen the block.

Block Doesn’t Update After ChangesPermalink

  • Save block settings again.
  • Refresh the editor page.
  • Reinsert the block if the editor state seems stuck.
