Western ecumenicalPermalink
There is no single Protestant calendar, so this list gathers principal observances widely shared by Western churches that follow the Christian year. Its reference points are the Consultation on Common Texts, which developed the Revised Common Lectionary, and the ELCA overview of the church year.
Roman Catholic — United StatesPermalink
This list selects major observances from the General Roman Calendar and the Proper Calendar for the United States. The authoritative annual reference is the USCCB Liturgical Calendar for the Dioceses of the United States. Because U.S. dioceses differ, the tool lets you choose whether Ascension is observed on Thursday or Sunday.
Eastern OrthodoxPermalink
This list includes Great and Holy Pascha and the Twelve Great Feasts, following the Orthodox Church in America’s Feasts of the Church Year. Paschal dates are checked against the OCA’s Lenten and Paschal Cycle. The fixed-feast setting supports both the Revised Julian (New) and Julian (Old) calendars.
Dates are calculated from fixed calendar dates or from the traditional Western Easter and Orthodox Pascha calculations. Feast names and practices can vary locally; when in doubt, follow the calendar used by your own church.
